"Lovely quiet location, comfy room and great food. Bar staff very helpful. Building works going on at the hotel and next door so we were disturbed in the morning by lorries but this is not the fault of the hotel"

"Great place to stay in heart of Christchurch, overlooking the cathedral. The renovations are beautiful, giving a relaxing, arty vibe in which to relax, with a high standard of decor. Staff are fantastic, very friendly whilst professional, and made all guests feel really welcome. Great welcome on arrival, friendly, pleasant and helpful. All seemed to enjoy working there! It could do with some sofas/easy chairs for guests to relax in apart from the bar, ‘cafe’, or restaurant areas, but this didn’t spoil our stay as no one hurried us out of either. Maybe some low coffee tables in place of some of the cafe tables? Will definitely be staying again, such fantastic service from all staff in a lovely, welcoming environment."

"Great place to stay. All staff were welcoming and friendly. Very dog friendly and comfortable. A few dog rules but nothing out of ordinary - Easy to abide by. Car park to rear. Bedroom was clean and well equipped. Bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast choice good. Presented well and very tasty. We also had a very good experience of restaurant meal in the evening. Some wall/ floor areas in the place were knocked and marked but its a bar/restaurant so some wear and tear is expected from customer use. It certainly doesnt detract from the friendly, welcoming and good service that we experienced "

"Loved the big garden so our dog could run and have fun where he is usually kept on a lead on walks. Always clean. Found this place last year and had several little stays and look forward to our next one. Also my husband loves trains so perfect spot."

"Arrived and was easy self check-in, val keeps you updated on everything. Passes and permits waiting in caravan, nice welcome pack with chocolate, coffee, tea and card greetings. Everything was clean and modern. The view was amazing. Highly recommend 👌 "

"The hosts were a delight and helpful. I got directions to a local coffee shop that took me by the sea. I felt relaxed and slept well. I have to carry insulin with me and having a refrigerator and freezer was nice."
