「Such a lovely shepherds hut, with everything you need..easy check in & would definitely stay again」

「We stayed at Deer Hut on 26th August for our anniversary. Unfortunately, the stay was not as comfortable as we expected. When we opened the door, there were lots of flies around the lights, and the back window was open when we arrived. There was also a spider in the bathroom, which made my wife very scared and uncomfortable. Because of these issues, we couldn’t relax properly and didn’t sleep well that night. We were looking forward to a nice and relaxing anniversary stay, so unfortunately this...

「The potting shed is definitely a hidden gem, its little but had everything we needed, it was spotless with a lovely garden for our dog to explore. The twin baths outside were a really nice way to unwind after a day sightseeing and there’s plenty of dog friendly restaurants locally. I would recommend the lazy fox for great service and lovely food.」

「The accommodation was clean and welcoming. The welcome pack was a thoughtful extra with fresh milk, eggs and bread. Tea and coffee was also provided. The bed was extremely comfortable and we both slept really well. Patio table and chairs ideal for eating outside even though it was late September, a bonus. Grassed area accessible from the car park was great for letting the dog out. Easy 15 minutes drive into Hartfield to visit Winnie the Pooh sites & Ashdown Forest.」

「If you love a peaceful country retreat then this is for you. Wildlife all around. The owner could not be more helpful. Peacocks at the back door herds of dear and flocks of amazing rheas much better than advertised. You do need a car with good clearance for the track through the forest but it's worth it as it all ads to the amazing adventure. Thank you once again to our host Martin who meets guests at the gate to lead you through the forest.」
