"The onsens and meals were very nice. It was an excellent experience of staying in a traditional ryokan.
A bit of a hike if you walk up the to the ryokan from the train station and taxis are practically not present, luckily you can leave your luggage at the ryokan before check in and go explore the town"

"I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in the Hakone area. The staff is beyond kind, amazing buffet/food, very clean, beautiful and spacious rooms! I hope I get to stay here again. They have a shuttle from Odawara station to the hotel. The only downside is it’s not directly IN Hakone, but it was convenient enough to get around with the shuttle service. The staff was so welcoming and kind. Can’t wait to stay here again!"

"I really liked the onsen and the in room onsen. The property area seems kind of dangerous if it snows but it’s in a nice somewhat secluded place. Wish it had mover of a view from my room when using the in room onsen."

Peaceful bliss! Right up in the forest-laden mountains of Hakone, this traditionally modern ryokan should tick every mark you need for relaxation: simple, quiet, and surrounded by nature.
The mineralized onsens feel fantastic... so much so, I was melting straight into myself! All the tension from long walks in Tokyo, gone in a sultry soak. You get to pick two bath times too -- one in the evening, one in the morning -- in one of three baths (one indoor, one outdoor, and one I forget).

This was a beautiful property. Everything was clean, updated, and easy to find. The host left a very helpful instructional booklet describing how to use all of the amenities, and even instructions on how to best prepare the food. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would love to stay here again!!

Thank you so much to the incredible staff at Couscous Glamping for your exceptional hospitality! This was our first glamping experience, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place than Couscous Glamping in Japan. The entire team made our stay truly memorable. Not only are the staff friendly and helpful, but they are also genuinely kind, passionate, and welcoming. The campsite was stunning, and our tent was spacious and beautifully set up. Everything was amazing, the room was clean, they provided you with the option to select the BBQ dinner which was delicious! They do have drink options at an extra cost. But would recommend to stop at a convenience store to get snacks and extra things to keep in the room. But overall the view amazing, the fire pit so peaceful. Such a nice little getaway! Would highly recommend! The staff honestly was top notch!

We enjoyed our stay here, there was plenty of room to spread out, the beds were comfy and our host was very nice and welcoming. We didn't realize that it was geared at people with dogs and some were barking a bit & running around the courtyard but it was overall pretty quiet and also only a few blocks from the beach which was nice to walk on in the morning.

We decided to treat ourselves for 1 night and it was just what we were looking for. Great experience sleeping right in front of Fuji, in a super well equipped and maintained “tent”. Dinner was a wonderful experience as well, prepared by the staff and cooked to finish by us right next to the tent. My only comment is to note that the private bath is only for 1h, but the shared bath was very close to the tent and very clean and convenient.
