Nightmare

My wife and I are touring Australia and have had a wonderful experience with the exception of this place. Arriving from Melbourne on a 39 degree day (Celsius) we found the office to be closed. After waiting for a while in the heat, an agitated and rude gentlemen let us in to the office to check in. It was shocking how unfriendly this guy was and when when we told him we had booked with Expedia, his disdain worsened. The gentlemen informed us that he needed payment up front for the room and when we told him it was our understanding that we had already paid Expedia, he became irate. When we tried to show him on our Expedia app on our phone, he rudely grabbed my wife's phone from her. We then found there was zero wifi and no cell signal so it was not possible to verify our payment. At this point the gentlemen left the office. We waited for a while and decided to find another place to stay. There is absolutely no excuse for this type of behavior.

Amazing location, felt like we were a million miles from anywhere. Staff were fabulous, very obliging and friendly. Certainly a holiday to remember.

Quiet and very comfortable.

Loved the area. The view was beautiful. The accommodation was very comfortable and great to have a washer and dryer to do our laundry during a long trip away.

Lovely comfortable hotel with good room layout. Gorgeous gardens and views to lake. My only quibble was that the frozen meals available to buy weren't more extensive.

Spectacular views, cosy and peaceful.

We spent two nights here and enjoyed every minute. Staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. We loved our boat trip down the river and even caught a couple of fish! Waking up to magical views of the river and the sounds of nothing but birds definetly made our stay memorable.

Tranquil!

Wonderful stay with my son. We only booked for one night but wish we had spent the week there! Kangaroos and birds everywhere! Quiet and peaceful! I plan on going back with my husband next year.

Great spot in a picturesque location, but note no other local facilities other than in Mallacoota 20mins away. Room was very clean and tidy with serviceable rather than luxurious appointments.

Should not advertise a restaurant unless it is to be open on the night - the chief reason for choosing to stay there at Easter time when so many restaurants are closed. Otherwise a good place in a beautiful spot with very nice people and excellent service.
