Très bon logement en plein cœur de Funchal. Nous avons pu tout faire à pied. La terrasse est un vrai plus. L endroit était calme la nuit. L appartement nous a totalement convenu pour 2 personnes. Je pense qu il est mal conçu pour 4 : seulement 3 tabourets pour le bar de la cuisine, pas de vraie table à l intérieur, une toute petite au niveau de la terrasse.

Host was very communicate and helpful and overall it is as listed and enough space for up to 4 people. However the entire apartment floors were so dusty and dirty and the washroom can be cleaned much more throughly (buildup on shower and sink). Dust and dirt was literally all over my feet/socks as I walked around the apartment and had to wipe my feet off before getting in bed every night… No AC so it has a very musky smell in the apartment because of the humidity and moisture. Beds are stiff so maybe not the best for a long term stay or if you’re looking for quality sleep.

We took a chance on this property as there were no reviews but I have to say that the property was clean and modern and well kitted out for a stay. Location was perfect and the modern approach to checking in and security on the property was great. We would definitely stay there again. However I would be clear that our choice of apartment was on the top floor with no lift and 3 flights of stairs which was not a problem to us but you should be aware in this is a concern for you.

Leider waren wir mit unserem Aufenthalt nur bedingt zufrieden. Bereits beim Betreten der Wohnung fiel ein unangenehmer, modriger Geruch auf. Zudem waren deutliche Anzeichen von Feuchtigkeit in der Wohnung erkennbar, was den Gesamteindruck erheblich beeinträchtigt hat. Auch die Sauberkeit entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen. Besonders enttäuschend war der Zustand der Terrasse, die stark mit Taubenkot verschmutzt war und dadurch kaum nutzbar erschien. Insgesamt hatten wir uns die Unterkunft in einem deutlich besseren Zustand vorgestellt.

Great sized apartment, amazing location! Super central and walkable! Some issues with communication from the staff regarding whether the unit had a safe. We were told twice that there was one and then upon arrival, no safe. Fully equipped kitchen and having the top unit with the terrace was lovely to relax. One big issue throughout the apartment was the smell and humidity within it. You notice it everytime you enter and it is very unpleasant. Yes, Madeira is an island and it is humid, however some adjustments to the air flow and cooling system within the unit would go a long way. The bathroom specifically. There were mold spots along the ceiling above the shower and toilet. The units washing machine works well and having a drying rack is very helpful. However, because of how humid the unit is, some clothing would take 2+ days to fully dry. The units floors were also somewhat dirty throughout when we arrived and we had to wipe away quite a bit of dust/dirt. Overall, enjoyable stay and excellent location, some improvements could be made though.

Location was great. Limited service. Was given one towel each for 10 days, one roll of toilet paper, asked for more but no communication given to when would receive and ended up buying some. I would say this is a simple apartment with no additional services but the location is good is you want in city centre.
