I’m sorry but this place IS NOT suitable or safe for anyone to stay at. I’ve stayed at some sketchy hotels before BUT they weren’t as filthy as this place. We had roaches under our small fridge and there were also tiny ones that were dead inside. There were random holes in the walls. The toilet and shower were disgusting. The microwave had handprints and old food stuck on it. The sheets and bed had STAINS. Btw. WHEN WE CHECKED IN, THERES A SIGN THAT SAYS “you have 15 to get a refund”. 15 min??? That should have been a red flag. I’m in the process of getting ahold of Alpine health department bc this place is a biohazard. I asked the front desk manager (Yogi?) if he had his grade and he should’ve couldn’t find the paperwork. Mind you, in Texas you’re required to have that framed for customers to see. ❌❌❌ STAY AT YOIR OWN RISK! ❌❌❌

This picture is very deceiving, it looks nothing like the picture it’s nothing but an old apartment complex with what appears people live there permanently and all hanging on balcony and socializing and did not have elevator, nothing but stairs and there were 4 of us elderly ladies that have walking issues much less going up stairs to carry luggage, impossible, so manager saw we were all elderly and offered to put us in downstairs in a room that had 3 queen beds at no xtra charge. We accepted but did not check it out cause we needed to go have dinner before everything closed and we told him and he said ok. So when we got back about 1 1/2 hrs later and we walked in we all could see how filthy everything was starting with floor and as we made our way in and it smelled musty, restrooms were nasty ring in commode as if it never was cleaned and yellowish/brown stains in bathtub and curtains to tub were nasty and stained counter on vanity was deep in dust …UNBELIEVABLE could not believe EXPEDIA WOULD EVEN have them as a choice. There was no available hotels in area because of spring break and other sports activities taking place. I called Expedia to report since that’s who I booked through and spent almost 2x ours on phone with agents because first one put me on hold for 25 minutes and then I got dial tone so I called back and went through almost same outcome other than I had 2 choices stay the night or check out. We opted to check out. He guaranteed our refund…

Dirty mattress cover, dirty toilet. Lightbulbs that didn’t work.
Stained and old toilet seat.

Bait and switch. Pics on booking sites do not match actual rooms. Serious disrepair: -completely different decor -furniture broken -toilet was not secured, rocked when sat on -tiny vintage sink outside toilet/shower room (cool for a collector, unacceptable for a motel) -hadn’t been painted in god knows how long -ceiling light fixture started strobing when turned off (we have video) -loud music from hotel residents -front desk polite but clearly checked out Gateway to a national park should do better for the price.

This room belonged in a horror movie. Look at the pics, shower was held together by mold. Picture of sheets speak for themselves. Sleep in your car before going here. I immediatly left this place after check in.

We had to change rooms twice. The first room had no working power outlets. The 2nd room TV set had been smashed. The hotel manager said he assumed the previous guests got into a fight. The building is 75 years old and clearly a challenge to maintain. The room was very dirty. Everything seemed to be held together by duct tape to include the bed frame which was not the same size as the mattress and box spring. We were not confident the frame was going to hold... but the mattress was quite comfortable and we got a great night's sleep.

Every room was dirty, water leaking from ceiling in another room, VERY outdated and staff didn’t seem to care- told the hotel would be closing in April. I feel bad for whoever books a stay there because the pictures shown on Expedia are completely Fals.
