Top Forodhani Gardens Hotel Reviews

Tembo House Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"If you want to be close to history, locals in the marketplace, a wide variety of activities, a great beach with character, and old world amazing charm... then this is it. Not your typical westernized tropical beach which is far away (1-2 hrs drive) and found way up north. There is nothing up there historically because there was no way to create a harbor for international multicultural trade there. Tembo has 2 infinity pools, 1 courtyard pool, and a great ocean front beach with beautiful views of all types of boats going by. Staff were superb and will remember you by sight, if not by name, when you pay attention to them. Walkabouts in Stonetown are easy, safe, and all around you. Management and staff are proud to be here, just as my group of 7 friends were. Great food, beautiful rooms and historical decor. Kevin from Boston area."

"Russell and the Emerson Soice team made us feel welcome from start to finish. A fabulous building with lots of history and in a great location in Stonetown. The hotel private a great breakfast of fresh fruit, juice, eggs, pastries tea and coffee on the roof top tea house restaurant. Great views of Stonetown ! The Secret Garden restaurant served some lovely fresh dishes and drinks and there is live local music a couple of nights a week.
