「Room was really clean and spacious. Child's bed was not substantial at all. Hot weather meant room was very hot as no A/C. Only 1 small fan available which wasn't effective for a large room. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Spa was small but ok. Pool unavailable due to 'high levels' on last day of 2 nights. Didn't have breakfast there but menu looked ok. We had dinner on one of the nights and staff were great. Food arrive in good time. Quality was ok.」

「Lovely stay, just a few yards from the sea front. Lisa and Christophe made us feel very welcome. The swimming pool was great and just what you need after a long drive or busy day around Torbay. The breakfasts we enjoyed each morning were delicious and kept us full throughout the day. Would definitely return and highly recommend a stay at the lovely Charterhouse if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Torquay.」

「Location is excellent, meals were very good, plus gluten free, and vegetarian options, staff were friendly, and helpful, evening entertainment good, building and bedrooms need updating. Close to shops, bus and train stations.」

「Once you park your car be careful of flying marquee also our room shower kept leaking. It was hard to sleep and they were loading and unloading beer kegs and at night after 10 pm making noise. Well we’re trying to sleep and the food with atrocious as the fish on the Friday was burnt and the fish inside the batter was like plastic however Sukhi the lady who served us brilliant waitress 10 out of 10」
