A really good hotel in a perfect location. I enjoyed my stay here. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was in very good condition. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. I liked the breakfast area and sea views, as well as the lovely grounds that gave a quick and pleasant route to the seafront. Would have no hesitation in staying here again.

The hotel is in a great location overlooking the sea, with a short walk down to the seafront for a dip. The terrace is a great place to enjoy a relaxing drink, overlooking the grounds and the sea. The pool is a good size and well kept. The staff were very friendly. It's a great place to join the coastal path, the walk to Dawlish and back is a great day's activity. The hotel lists several walking options depending on your time. I look forward to a longer stay next time. Waking up with the gentle sound of the sea is treat.

We loved our stay at the Cliffden. It’s perfectly located for train travellers and it’s a short walk through the beautiful and extensive grounds to the sea front and the town centre. The friendly staff were exceptionally helpful and the freshly renovated swimming pool was the jewel in their crown.

The hotel was in a great location. We were a group of 7 Gentlemen Golfers and we stayed in the Hotel for 4 nights. The staff were brilliant, the breakfast was hearty and filling. We enjoyed "chilling" in the indoor swimming pool. Although we did not have a dog with us, it may be helpful to know that the hotel is dog friendly. The gardens of the hotel were exceptional, and you walked through them for easy access to the beach and Town. I would recommend a stay at the Cliffden hotel.
