The mansion is closed and looks deserted. The fire alarm went off one night at midnight... apparently it happens often when someone takes a hot -steamy shower??? Really... everyone had to evacuate for about 1 hour before it was cleared to reenter our rooms."

"We had an amazing experience at the forest house! It was the perfect lightly lord of the rings themed backdrop for our engagement with a bit of hobbit and elven vibes. Absolutely gorgeous furnishings and finishes. It rained while we were there, so we took full advantage of cozying up in the house with art supplies and a cheeseboard and watching Lord of the Rings (bluray extended edition of course, though we did have to bring our own copy!)We did that trend of painting each other's portraits and then doing a reveal at the end. It was quite fun and they had everything we needed. We camped for 2 days before coming here and were terribly grateful for the washer and dryer as well. The bath was lovely, the views spectacular, we took a short but brisk walk on the loop around the neighborhood. Couldn't recommend it enough."
