"An absolute gem. Came for a quiet getaway and the perfect storm of calmness. Will is a wonderful host, making sure I was welll taken care of and focusing on every detail. He made sure I was able to check in and reach him during a winter storm and was readily available. The place is wonderful and filled with lots of fireplaces and room amenities that feel spa like and warm. Best night sleep I’ve had in a cloud of pillows and bed, in such a long time. The house was spotless and private, the pool was gorgeous, and the location was perfect — close enough to the towns when we wanted to explore, but peaceful when we wanted to relax. "This house was a nightmare. It sits right on the main highway, so forget peace and quiet. Inside, the place reeked of must and had stains on the walls, furniture, and even the outdoor seating. The bathtub was covered in black dust, the barbecue hadn’t been cleaned, trash was left out, and the pool and jacuzzi were full of bugs.We told the owner we planned to leave early—he ignored us until after checkout and has dodged every attempt to get a refund. The photos may look nice, but the reality is grime, noise, and neglect. Save yourself the hassle and stay anywhere else."
