「Hotel a bit old in regards to room equipment, but staff very nice and supportive! The beach couldn't be better, one of the best beaches I saw in the island! Highly recommended!」

We did have terrible weather during our stay which did not help but the room 's water did not work, the toilet did not flush. The rooms are very modern in themselves and present very well. Disappointed with the meals although it tasted fine the price was twice what it would have been in town for a similar meal. 60000lkr for sri lankan curries for two, a beer and 1 glass of house wine. 「Disclaimer: Not sure if this was the fault of Hotels.com or the hotel itself, or a combination of the two. Arrived at this hotel via car only to find that it was completely closed for renovations. I had made a non-refundable reservation to stay almost 2 months prior, yet received absolutely no notice from either the hotel or Hotels.com that the hotel was closed. 「Fantastic location, but disappointing in so many other ways. First of all there was no booking when we arrived and when it was eventually sorted it was made clear the management thought we had not paid enough through the booking agent we had used. We stayed for 7 nights and the room was never cleaned, not even once. There was a regular smell of sewage from the bathroom and the room was very tired. The meal we ordered one night was of such a small portion that we subsequently had to order...

「Very relaxing stay next to the lagoon but also an easy walk to the beach. Only one restaurant was open aged that was on the beach so a bit of a trek when it rained. My room looked out on to a corridor which wasn’t ideal and the sealant around bathroom fittings was black with mildew. But largely these are minor details to a comfortable and relaxing stay at a fair price.」
