「Excellent attentive staff in every area of hotel. I stay there regularly when visiting friends and family and my only two beefs are that the elevators seem very slow and the rooms themselves do not have enough lighting. The beds are super comfortable and rooms are very clean. The bathrooms are huge but would be nice to have face cloths again but I am noticing a trend internationally regarding this! Great for parking and public transport is very handy if needed. I will be staying there again.」

「A very nice hotel with facilities and right on the bank of the Tyne river. It was a very hot period and aircon excellent. However sitting outside overlooking the river at very run and rotten tables. My beer almost fell over as the hole was so big. Grass stumps were growing under the table. A little TLC was needed to make it nice to look over to a fabulous city. We loved our 3 night stay」

「This hotel is in desperate need for refurbishment. The fixtures and furniture is dated and the building itself is so old that you. It think it’s a hotel. The room I got given had a non functional AC. The telephone connection in the room was non functional too. There was no water bottle in the room. You have to buy it!!! The hotel staff had left the room windows, I suppose because the AC wasn’t working. I would not recommend this to anyone.」

「The room was cold as the heating didn't work well. There was also no hot water in the shower. Despite requesting improvement, nothing was done. The room was clean and well-maintained, the housekeeping service was very good, and the breakfast was tasty.」

「Hotel did not inform me that all roads leading to the hotel in a rather large radius would be closed on the night of my arival. There was no communication of alternative parking arrangements. When I arrived and explained calmly that I was not a happy customer I was given excuses. Apparently they are unable to contact me because I booked through expedia. This is strange as they had contacted me through expedia to tell me that my room was non refundable. If you are going to Sunderland pick...

「The room was clean enough ,the view from the room was great as it was at the front ,I would not have been happy if I had a room at the rear . The hotel looks like it has recently been refurbished (badly) the workmanship is dire !and done cheaply The food in the bar in the evening was a disappointment and not to our taste we had hoped for fresh fish and chips but sadly it resembled frozen fish and if the chips are to be triple cooked then try and get them crispy not soft dark brown bits of...

「First time I stayed in the seaburn inn as I stay in Sunderland a lot but from now on that’s the only place I’ll stay Staff- very helpful. Even late at night, remote broken for TV and went out their way to get me a new one. Just all round brilliant」

「Pleasant stay at the Seaton Lane Inn with a little hiccup of no towels in the room on arrival but was remedied straightaway. Check in was quick and easy although steep stairs to the upper level of the Inn rooms. May be a little difficult for older people to negotiate these. Had food in the restraunt one night and enjoyed the steak which was cooked as asked and the service was also good from the waiter. Check out was also quick and easy so a very good stay at a good hotel.」

「It was a car-free trip, but as the bus station was nearby, it wasn't as inconvenient as I'd expected. The lady at reception was very kind. Very comfortable room. Having a fridge was also a great help.」

「Basic hotel, but clean room and comfortable bed. Staff really friendly and helpful. Stay included breakfast, but limited really to takeaway style bags in which to take your choices to your room, or sit at small tables in reception. Would probably give it a miss if staying again. Location is in the middle of large industrial estate, so whilst its cheap, and ok just to put your head down for a night or two, it is limited in what it can offer to tourists.」
