「The room was very clean, however we could never get the safe to work properly even after the hotel staff reset it. Bar was nice and relaxing. The staff was terrific. Breakfast was ok. We ate there the first morning only. Overall a great place to stay.」

「The setting was beautiful, and the room was very clean. The grounds were very well kept. Gabrielle was extremely helpful. The breakfast offering was more than adequate with lots of choice. The only real downside from my point of view was the limited menu available in the evenings, however the food they did provide was excellent quality. I would happily book again.」

「I understand the language issues, but when we checked in I was trying to say that we were very thirsty and was there a place to get drinks. I finally understood that there were water bottles and a water spigot nearby. But there was also a refrigerator close that I discovered later which is what I really was asking about. The room was very clean in general, but the couch had several visible stains. I mean, like very visible stains...... For the price paid, I would have expected a clean...

「Le Castel is situated in a great spot to get to if you arrive by train to Bayeux. It is only about 10min . It is located to Vieux Centre ville/ downtown , steps to the Bayeux Cathedral and restaurants. While location was great- our room needed better ventilation ( it was musty smelling) and the carpeting was quite soiled. The room needed updating overall. Our TV did not work, there is no mini fridge and no shampoo/conditioner. Also note- there is no air conditioning. It does have some charm...
