"Loved the little house. We were surprised at its clean lines and great kitchen- all was new. As others have mentioned it is up a steep hill from the center of town but sometimes we just drove down for dinners out! The view of the outer harbor was great, with short walk to a viewpoint. The washing machine was one of those old French machines, but did the job. There were drying racks for drying clothes. I’d love to stay there again. And Port en Bessin is a wonderful little town. Great mussels. My husband thought the fish stew at the Marina Hotel was one of the best thing he had eaten in years?"

"What a beautiful, clean and modern apartment we had the pleasure of staying in. Régine had everything we needed in the apartment for us to cook, relax, wash/dry our clothes. Parking was in front of the apartment and the highlight was market day outside our door the day after arriving in Port-en-Bessie-Huppain. There were many choices for local restaurants and short drives to many D-Day attractions. We would recommend a mattress topper to soften the beds as they were very hard, but other than that we would definitely stay here again if ever visiting the area again."

"What a stunning home! We were delighted with everything. The host Geraldine is warm, kind, friendly and an absolute delight (with great English, thankfully as my French needs work!). La maison d’Harold was incredible! Clean, packed with everything you could need or want and things you didn’t even think you needed. Walking distance to restaurants and Boulangerie just a bonus. The Terraces for morning coffee and evening drinks were superb. Would not hesitate to recommend and would book again-absolutely perfect!!"

"Property just as pictured. Beautiful. The village is charming with everything needed, including multiple restaurants. We discovered La Moulerie off the main waterfront. We ate there three nights and would have made it all five nights we stayed in the village, but we hit their two weekly nights closed.The village and this property are ideal for two couples or a family unit visiting Normandy beaches, etc. (If both downstairs bedrooms will be utilized, those folks should know one another well as you walk through one bedroom to reach the other, which is a common set up.)Highly recommend the property and the village, and if you can attend the Sunday market, you’ll have another wonderful experience. And don’t miss the daily (except Monday) fish market in the waterfront pavilion.There is so much to recommend this quiet village, a bit removed from the standard tourist track, including a lovely cliff walk."
