"Comfort Inn & Suites Custer SD is a very nice hotel. The employees all were very pleasant. The room was fairly large, clean and well maintained. In the back there is a seating area with firepits, Adirondak chairs as well as tables and chairs under a covered area. A shame it was raining in the afternoons/ evenings while we were there. The indoor pool area appeared clean. The free breakfast in the morning had a very nice, wide selection and was maintained continuously. Plenty of seating allowed everyone to enjoy their breakfast without feeling crowded. I would recommend this hotel to all interested in visiting the town of Custer and Mount Rushmore,"

"This is a very cozy space with just enough seclusion to give a sense of peacefulness in the Black Hills. There is a short drive on very smooth gravel to reach the cabin. The photos of the space are accurate. The living space is well thought out. The kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed the artwork depicting scenes from the surrounding Black Hills. The bed is expecially comfortable. Nighttime is particularly quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the front deck from where it is possible to see deer, elk, and wild turkeys. There is a Mickelson trailhead immediately across the highway from the turnoff to the property. We found the hosts to be quite responsive and anxious to make sure we had a good experience. Overall I would highly recommend this property."

"Loved the cabin. Location wasn't very clear that there would be loud highway noise. We were constantly on the go but if we wanted to hang out on the deck or yard it was very noisy. All amenities were used and worked great except the living room tv but that wasn't a deal breaker and I'm sure was fixed by the next reservation! We will recommend this place and the Black hills retreat company to all of our friends and family! Thank you 😊"
