"Great place for a family to take a breather from a long road trip. Wish we could have stayed 3 nights instead of 2. Dinner at the restaurant was delightful sitting on the porch with a beautiful view of the mountains and a guitar player strumming at the cafe below was perfect. Fridge was separate freezer was very useful in the cabin. breakfast was fast and convenient. Mini golf needs an upgrade by all the other play zone facilities were nice and clean."

Rustic Rock Haven - Horses Welcome

"We LOVED our time in this cabin. Deb and Dave are lovely hosts. They have adorable pugs that came to visit every morning, as well as puppies and kittens! What's not to love about that!? The location is off the beaten path and so peaceful and beautiful with cattle out front, a friendly steer we nicknamed Doug, a 2 mile hiking path, and a field filled with Elk the night we arrived! The air conditioner is a box unit in the window over the sink, but it kept the cabin cool so long as we left it on when we left for the day. Super great location. Just a 15-20 minute drive to Sylvan Lake with easy access to 16A which gets you to Iron Mountain Road, as well as the Wildlife Loop. We really loved our stay and will miss that spot of heaven."

"We enjoyed the proximity to the state park and Mt. Rushmore. The overall surrounding area where the cabin is located was average. We unfortunately could not use the fire pit due to a fire ban but enjoyed the hot tub. Kids enjoyed the games."

"We really enjoyed the peaceful country setting, porch overlooking the pond, well equipped kitchen, and very comfortable beds. We had a group of 12 and there were enough beds and bathrooms for all of us to be comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave National Park, and Hot Springs. We would recommend!"

"My daughter and I loved this cabin. The back porch and view of the spires was amazing. We had deer to watch in the field every night and morning. The bed was super comfy. We stayed in 4 different vrbo’s this trip and I slept the best here. The kitchen had everything I needed. Internet was ok. We were able to watch movies on Tubi, but if we hooked our phones up to it nothing worked. I didn't mind unplugging for a few days. This was our second trip to Custer park. Last summer we stayed in Hill City. I preferred the cabin location. It was very close to the park and convenient. Pretty close to Custer if you need to go grocery shopping. We would definitely stay here again."
