The cabin was just what we were looking for -- quiet evenings with enough activities to keep the kids adventuring during the day. We were two families traveling together for 5 days with 3 adults and 3 kids ages 9-11. We visited local trails, the Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, Mueller State Park, Garden of the Gods, and Colorado Springs Zoo.
The area is rural, and there is lots of winding-road driving. Bring dramamine if you get car sick! At 9,000 feet+, the temperatures were a wonderful respite from the heat of Colorado's West Slope where we live. We enjoyed a visit to McGinty's Irish Pub in Divide. There are only a couple eateries in Divide, and we did a lot of meal prep.
The cabin was clean and cozy with enough room for the six of us. We frequented the hot tub and massage chair, and there was plenty of entertainment for the evenings -- from streaming access to DVDs, old-school video games, and even a decent collection of VHS movies! Overall, we had a wonderful visit.
