"Overall, nice stay. Bugs are horrible so I would recommend winter. We got why we didn't see many people outside! Cabins look a little run down from the outside and on the main road, but we very happily surprised when we got it, beds are comfortable, and all is clean. A little disappointed we couldn't get in prior to 4 to put our stuff, since almost the whole place was empty. Thanks for providing all necessary kitchen equipment, a new sponge, and coffee! Captain Jack was great for airboat tours, Rod and Gun was great for the old charm, food and drinks on the water, Triad great for lunch, Athena was super at the visitor center. Isabelle"

"This place was so peaceful! It was just what my husband and I needed for the weekend 3 It was a little hard to find, the GPS takes you to the office. But the owner answered his phone on the first rind and guided us right to the RV, which was just a couple of spots from the office. We will DEFINITELY be back!"

"The hotel does not accept credit cards. I didn’t know until I arrived. We went inside the Inn and tracked down an employee who checked us in. Thank goodness we had a checkbook in the car. You are suppose to text check in but I never saw the text. Very confusing. "

"Communication before our arrival was good. However, when we got there, the owner mentioned there was a key for the cabinet, but it didn’t work, so we were unable to lock the door, which did not feel safe.Then we went shopping for supplies for that week and settled in that evening. Then things started going bad. The first toilet in the main cabin wouldn't flush, couldn't use it, then the second toilet stopped working, the water was at the rim, my husband spent hours trying to improve it so we could use the bathroom, which we only peed, no #2's at this property!. So we had to leave the property to go find a bathroom, and it was late, and the nearest bathroom was far. Came back, attempted to sleep, then the air conditioner stopped working in the main cabin. It attempted to cycle on and off every few minutes, so we turned it off so it wouldn't burn out, and the cabin became very warm. My husband was up all night trying to fix the toilets. And moldy smells were coming from the AC. The next morning, after not sleeping and having nowhere to use the bathroom, we packed up to get out of there. We contacted the owner to explain the situation and let him know we were relocating. He was initially apologetic and said he would submit a refund, so we thought the matter was resolved. However, he later became defensive and accused us of trying to get out of the rental and said, “Karma is a ...........”"
