「This was a very clean and cozy cottage. We went shelling on Cape Lookout and had a great dinner at Fish Hook Grill.We will stay longer next time and bring the boat, boat ramp is across the street!」

「We were 2 miles from the ferry for Portsmouth Island which was the reason for our visit. We brought all of our meals to cook at the house and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed sitting on the porch looking at the water in the evening. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area.」

「The home is nice and well stocked. The owner is very responsive and helpful. I read other reviews but we were disappointed that there are no waterviews from the home. There is access to a dock at the end of the lane the homeis on, however the steps are wooden and covered in barnacles.aWe would stay agai」

「It had everything we needed. Short walk to the Cedar Island Ranch where we went horseback riding. We took the ferry to Ocracoke for 1 each. We walked there from the house. Very quiet except for the sound of wind and waves. Great place to disconnect. Leave the laptop at home. 」

「It was like walking into a dream, so quiet and still. A perfect place to unwind and float off for a bit!」

「We stayed at Gene’s beautiful property for a couple of days before going over to Cape Lookout and it was a true delight. It was truly a pleasure staying at this property, everything was clean and very comfortable. Definitely will be back again. 」

「Honestly, it was a decent stay but poorly advertised. This house is 15 mins from a beach covered in cow poop in the sound and 47 mins from the actual 」

From entering the dwelling to getting settled and eventually leaving. The dwelling was clean and furnished above and beyond.
