Stayed for one night but had a very friendly welcome. Room was clean and modern with only some outdated features. Bar is open all night and car park is clean and well maintained. It was quite warm in the room as radiators were on full blast but was very comfortable once turned down.

This is middle of the road hotel in Bournemouth which harks back to a bygone era & the staff are fantastic. I enjoyed my stay, nice clean rooms & very close to the seafront & the town centre.

The check in was smooth and the concierge was friendly and very helpful. The hotel decor is clean and fresh, it looks as though it has been recently decorated. The walls of the rooms are very thin with no soundproofing, which meant we could hear a lot of noise from neighbouring rooms. There was a sizeable gap under the bedroom door, which meant light from the corridor streamed in all night. The curtains did not fit the window properly, which prevented full black out, I could imagine this being more of a problem in summer but if you like complete darkness to sleep in this wouldn’t be a room for you. In the morning we discovered that we only had towels for one person, at the point we discovered this we couldn’t go down to reception to get more so shared. We hunted high and low for a hairdryer to discover you have to get one from reception as they’re held there for safe keeping. The room also looked as though it was recently renovated, however the furniture looks old and the veneer is peeling and lifting off the edges of the bedside tables and dressing table leaving sharp edges to catch yourself on. The pillows were like bricks, really not very comfortable at all. I appreciate it’s a budget hotel, but lots of little things contributed to a disappointing stay.

Room was exceptionally clean, staff polite, friendly and welcoming. Parking was £10 but no issues. Didn't have breakfast as had to leave before it started.

Staff were very courteous and obliging. I spent a very disturbed night as the foam mattress was full of mould. This caused an acute inflammatory reaction, the body to pour out perspiration all night, plus fifteen trips to the toilet. There is a high level of pollution. All my clothes smelled plus anything I left on the dressing table surface. The air quality is not good.

For breakfast there war a choice of fruit juices, cereals, fruit, yogurt, brown/white toast and full English or any combination of the fore mentioned. A selection of coffee and teas. All top quality ingredients cooked to perfection. The hotel was absolutely spotlessly clean and refurbished to a high degree. All staff were so friendly and we were made to feel so relaxed, nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t need the use of car parking but there was a decent car park and some disabled parking spaces. The hotel catered for disabled including having a lift. There’s a lovely conservatory to sit in looking over the garden with some cheeky squirrels & birds to watch and also there’s a beautiful lounge and a small bar which is open 24/7. Its only a 15 minute walk to the beach at strolling pace, a little longer going back as it’s uphill. Overall a very pleasant and happy experience a big thank you to Roberto and staff for making our stay so special

Arrived early so lucky to score a car park for our 2 night stay. Friendly welcome. Lovely room with leafy outlook. Very clean and comfortable. Easy walk to East Cliff zig zag path and down to city centre.

Had an excellent stay at the Grove Hotel. Clean, spacious well furnished and decorated throughout the premises. My room was upgraded and I also received a drinks voucher which was a lovely bonus. The freshly cooked delicious full english breakfast was included in my rate. I would like to mention the hotel staff Roberto and Reddy who went to great lengths to offer a high level of customer service and support. The Grove is a quality hotel which offers great value for money. Thank you, I shall no doubt return again in the future.
