Summit Secret is single level cabin is located in a quiet, old-growth forest neighborhood within walking distance to Snow Summit and shuttles to Bear Mountain. Several restaurants, bicycle shops, and ski shops are also within walking distance. Groceries are an easy three minute drive away as is shopping in the Village. This cabin is on the Moonridge loop paved bicycle trail and is also a few minutes to forest hiking and biking trails. The driveway is flat and long enough for RV or boat parking with easy in and out access.

Small children and your group will love the flat fenced backyard. Play a game of Foosball. Relax on the expansive front deck enjoying a the mountain air or the antics of the birds, squirrels, and other wildlife. Enjoy all of the romance of a true mountain home centrally located and close to everything Big Bear has to offer.

Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. The maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior sign.

No amplified music 24/7
Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line 24/7. Close your windows to avoid music carrying beyond the property line.

Good location, very dated home
The home is fine. Nothing glaringly wrong. But my oh my is it dated. And, the listing isn't very accurate. No WiFi (this is in the listing, but a huge bummer. Its still a negative) No soap for the dishwasher Fireplace did not work and smoked out the house (fireplace flue not working) No charcoal for BBQ Not enough lighting for grill area No communications beforehand about check in Didn't respond to messages ahead of booking There are so many other good places in Big Bear that we've stayed at, where the listing is accurate and communication is easy. This location is not that. Skip this place.

Great location for snow summit
House is super basic, bring extra towels, soap, shampoo, coffee filters, heater for the living room, heat displacement in the house is horrible, sweat in the bedrooms freeze in living. Foos ball table and jacuzzi are fantastic. Be careful if the drive way has ice, you made slide right into the street. The front deck is beautiful. House has a lot of rules, prepare to bring your trash to the dump site a few blocks away, easy. Clean the kitchen put dishes away, weather dishwasher works or not, hopefully they inspect the put away dishes before the next renters come. $50.00 fee if you don’t. Bunch of other possible fees too.

Great location close to resort
This cabin is very cozy and is located in a great spot walking distance to Snow Summit resort. Our family had a great time playing foosball and some of the board games provided. The fireplace was a little tricky to use as it is an oven style with a switch and wasn’t sure how to operate . Overall we had a great time.

Nice Cabin By The Slopes
Cabin was is a good location, walking distance to the slopes. Plenty of space for us and communication was good with the property manager. We did have a couple of issues with the hot tub which was unfortunate. Outside of that highly recommend the property for a weekend on the slopes.

Great property! (NO INTERNET!)
This is a fantastic property/Cabin. My family had one of the best Christmases ever here. It really is walking distance to Snow Summit ski resort and the shuttle even came right by the house sometimes to pick us up and drop us off. I really want to give this place 5 stars but I can't because of the lack of internet. I was told that the fact that there is no internet is in the description but I didn't see it and frankly wouldn't even think to look for it. It just seems like a "given" to me since so much of what we do these days is dependent on the internet, especially during the pandemic. It wouldn't have been so bad if I had phone service but 75% of the time I had no service and when I did it was not nearly enough to use as a hot spot. The property manager said the the owner of this property is adamant about the lack of internet so that familys will stay off of their devices and "Bond" and that some people return here for just that reason. I get that and it is a nice sentiment but so much has to be done on line these days that I think they should re-think their policy. We were there for 7 nights and I needed to do a little bit of work and had some zoom meetings scheduled that I was not able to attend. I hate to sound like I'm complaining because this really is a great place! Just be aware that there is no internet.

Absolutely LOVED this cabin!!!
We could not have loved our stay here more! It was so close to snow summit resort that we walked a few minutes to the entrance for our mountain bike race held there. The house was really clean, the master bedroom bed was really comfortable, the half bath was a nice thing to have in there as well. The whole cabin was decorated so cute, it would be such a cute place to stay for Christmas/winter. The fenced in yard was amazing and perfect for our two pups to go out and play in without worry, and it being dog friendly was fantastic. The couches were surprisingly comfortable as well. Communication with destination big bear properties was seamless and being able to text them questions with quick responses was so nice. The decks were huge and great too! Only bummer was the hot tub temp was set to the listed 120 F on the inside thermostat but when we went out to get in, it was only 94 F, and because it was late at night and we weren't going to have another chance to use it, we didn't have maintenance come the next day, so we wished we could have used it... But because all else was so great I'm keeping everything at 5 stars. Stay, you won't be disappointed!

Great location, super close to everything
We didn't have to drive more than 10 minutes to go to the stores or parks. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe for kids. Great experience overall.

Northwoods Escape
Our family stayed at Summit Secret towards the end of the summer 2017. The cabin was a lovely escape from the heat of the desert. The porch was where I spent every morning and found it hard to leave after our short stay! Inside was a families treasure that we're so happy to have experienced; puzzles, foosball, a quaint kitchen for cooking if need be, books, three cozy bedrooms and a back yard fenced for you pet. The roads by the cabin are perfect for bicycling with children and exploring the back neighborhoods of Big Bear, we fell in love with Switzerland Dr., it was a real adventure. We don't ski, but this cabin is within walking distance to Snow Summit, and you can walk to a few good restaurants as well. We hope to return and make more memories at this true 'Secret' in the woods of Big Bear.
