The lake was absolutely wonderful, the sound of the waves breaking on shore was so calming, and the nice breeze was heavenly sitting quietly in the rocking chair on the back porch. Everything we needed for our weekend get away was available to use, dishes, fishing equipment, swimming toys, canoe, grill, beds and even a tv. We had an awesome family time. We enjoyed the proximity to town and listening to the cicadas while the sun set over the Pamlico. It was a fairly quick drive to Goose Creek State Park.
