"Not made to feel welcome by reception & bar staff! No loo roll in room and when I asked at reception for toilet rolls to be sent to room, I was informed that they don’t do room service and if we had wanted special requests in room then we should have emailed 24 hours before arrival - to be honest I had no idea what she was talking about! Everything was too much trouble! Music and lights turned off in bar between 10.50pm & 11pm leaving us to finish our bottle of wine in semi darkness! At breakfast, music again was turned off and doors shut at 9.55am with staff coming in and out getting drinks from the buffet! Terrible customer service. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t stay again! Britannia hotels have a very low standard. "

"Breakfast menu was fine plenty of choice. Room had sea view. Generally room would benefit from a deep clean. The carpet was very worn in the window area. There was no plug in the bath and despite requesting one as soon as we arrived it was not supplied during our stay."

"My daughter & I had a lovely one night stay here - it’s a beautiful property! Everything was spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. The rooms had everything we needed and everything was top quality. We would highly recommend a stay here."

"Breakfast was good, but had a strange experience with my evening meal of pasta, when I asked for Parmesan cheese l was told that the chef had already put some on and that I couldn’t have any more, l thought that they were joking but even when l told the duty manager I still never got any !!! I felt like a school child being told off . Would never go there again which is a shame as I’ve stayed there several times before. 😎"

"Very pleasant 2 night break in Eastbourne Everything was good - plenty of parking outside hotel with a parking permit, food was good too Had a standard double on the 7th floor & it was spacious enough & certainly not cramped I did view a sea view/balcony room & that was superb All staff were so very friendly & very accommodating "

"My friend and I stayed for three nights. We loved the location. We used the swimming pool and each had a treatment provided by the Spa. The food was lovely. The staff were friendly and accommodating. A great atmosphere. The weather was really good, so we enjoyed relaxing in the garden. It was definitely good value for money. Would 100% stay again."
