We stayed a week in Maine in another location before arriving at this Greer Cabin. Oh my goodness what a wonderful way to wind up our Maine get-away. Just wished we had not wasted a whole week at the first place.
I can't imagine how the actual location on the lake could have been topped. It is gorgeous! Trees, blue skies, cool clear water, dock, anchored raft, Adirondack chairs, fire ring, outdoor dining table and chairs, kayaks, canoe and paddleboard! Am I dreaming???
As for the accommodations...it was so clean! and looked new! The owners thought of everything: from the very well equipped kitchen...the frig is better than mine at home, coordinated dishes, 2 different sized sets of drinking glasses, coffee cups, small, medium, large pots with lids, 3 frying pans, a lobster pot, large vegetable strainer, all kinds of useful utensils, bakeware, toaster, coffee pot with filters and coffee...to name a few.
The beds were comfy and the linens soft and clean with several lofty pillows. The bathroom was spacious and came stocked with plenty of bath towels and washcloths, but only 2 hand towels. There was a lovely washer/dryer.
Lighting was excellent with several recessed ceiling lights and at least one lamp in all rooms. Air conditioning was adequate with a split system installed in the wall between the kitchen and dining areas. Without ductwork into bedrooms and loft things got a little uncomfortable at night with bedroom doors closed...so we left them open. We also "borrowed" a fan from the loft and used it in the bedroom.
Living room couches and chair were quite comfy and the dish TV and WIFI worked without a hitch.
We really could not have asked for anything more. next year we would love to stay for 2 weeks! Thanks for everything!
