"I wouldn't consider this is a hotel, at best is the youth hostel, but charged as a 4 stars hotel rate. First, the taxi driver was not able to find the hotel, as the location is on the 11th floor in an old commercial building. At the front desk seems reasonable clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Inside the room is a bunk bed that really shocking as a hotel and the room size is very small. Carpet is a little old and worn, bathroom is fair with minimum facilities provided. "We spent four nights at the Shangri-La and really enjoyed it. The hotel is centrally located just a few minutes' walk from an MRT station and one of Taipei's better night markets. Our suite was huge and immaculately clean, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The gym was extremely well-equipped. Most importantly, the service we encountered from every staff member was top-notch. Finally, we really appreciated the early check-in (we arrived at 7:00 am and were able to check in right away, with just a small additional fee.)"
