I was able to rent this property for a last minute family get together for Easter Weekend. We are all native New Mexicans from all corners of the state, so we tried something new and decided to meet in the city. This house truly can accommodate a ton of people comfortably. Everything on the listing is as described. Communication with David and his on-site property manager was simple and easy. However, we didn't require anything from them during our stay, as we came prepared. Again, good listing. I wish I could be free-spirited enough to just "wing it," on my travels, but I simply can't. I research EVERYTHING to the nth degree. This trip was no different. This property beat out a couple other nice contenders nearby, simply because I did not have to ask any questions, like "do you have a grill?", or "Is the pool open?" Read the listing. It's all there. There's tons of information to be garnered by just reading actual reviews, like this one. Me? I read them all. And I can attest that Piru Manors (the overall manager of this property, whom lists it here on VRBO) has addressed nearly all previous discrepancies. The grandkids enjoyed the pool immensely. Very clean. The adults enjoyed the hot tub even more! The neighborhood is nice and quiet, a rarity for Albuquerque anymore.
I have 2 particular facts to share, not as a critique at all, but merely a point of fact. These particular things do not matter to me at all, but they may to other travelers.
1) This large home has truly been converted into a rental property. It is evident a homeowner probably does not live here part time or anything. I happen to own a resort which rents several cabins and a campground, so I know what it takes. You will notice things like tons of beds everywhere. They use a rather clever idea of building a frame off the ground with simple lumber, but place a nice Tempur-Pedic on top of it, and use high quality bedding. Very comfortable. Many tables and countertops are homemade, but craftsmanship is just fine. If this bothers you, don't rent the place then complain about it.
2) The price is the price. It is at my resort and it is at this place. I've had vacation rentals who are rather lax and I've had the professionals, like these guys. I unexpectedly had an extra dog, and probably could have snuck it by, but I mentioned it and had to pay the fee. I added an extra night and paid full price. No surprises.
This is a clean, comfortable, fun rental
