This hotel truly was one the cleanest I have been to! We were quite impressed for the price and location- can’t beat it! We enjoyed the indoor pool, hot tub and the fire pit outside. The bar was great with your average pub style apps (apps was just ok). It’s right next to everything in walking distance- the brewery next door was great too!

Our family enjoyed our time at Highland Castle over the 4th of July weekend. Thank you so much John and Yvonne!

This was the most welcoming hotel I have ever stayed in. From the phone call prior to checking in, to the check in, to the stay, and even the checkout. I couldn't be any happier with the service provided! Staying here is more like staying with family that you actually like. I cannot wait for my next stay!

The lodge is beautiful inside and out and so are the staff. My room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the s'mores and the game room. The staff were very nice and incredibly helpful. I will defenately go back, and highly recommend.

What was unique about the property was the friendly staff. Always available and privately owned. They could not have been any more gracious and welcoming. What we didn't like was that the walls between the rooms were very thin. You could hear everything from the room next door.

It was a real treat to stay at the Balsam Inn! The Inn is off the beaten path like I wanted and very very quite. Jenny is a warm welcoming host. She even upgraded my room just because it was available. The room itself was beautiful! It felt like I was a guest in someones Adirondack mountain home. This place was simply amazing! So my family takes at least two camping trips a year to the ADKs, this year we were concerned about some pretty bad weather coming in so decided to end the trip in a hotel.
