"Room had a balcony with pretty views. In general, views from front of hotel of lake, mountains, and church are gorgeous. Hard to go back inside. Hallway carpet is a little dated. We didn't eat at restaurant, but wonderful, cozy atmosphere. We had a smell in our bathroom when we arrived, but crew techs quickly responded and addressed it. Front desk was very accommodating, especially at check-in. Though it is a steep hill, everything in town is no more than a 10-15 minute walk."

"House was awesome. We had 3 couples and it was very nice we had a bathroom with each bedroom. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. From plates , glasses, pots and pans to spices. Very well stocked with everything needed for our trip. Very spacious with the 3 levels. Bathrooms were very nice with towels and shampoos. Even had washer and dryer with supplies if needed.Would definitely stay here again and refer it to friends."

"I highly recommend the Giant’s View Cabin.House: The house is spacious, well-appointed, clean, and everything works. It can accommodate a large family or group. There were only four of us on our trip, which gave each couple room to spread out and have a lot of privacy. The view from the porch of Giant Mountain across the valley is spectacular. You can also watch the sun rise and the moon rise from the porch, weather permitting.Location: The house is quiet and feels very secluded even though it is only a five-minute drive off the main road. We came for the hiking, and there are a variety of hikes within a twenty-minute drive, from moderate 3-5-milers to big ones that climb 3,000 feet straight up. The town of Keene Valley and nearby Keene are small but have a handful of shops and the essentials (a small grocery, a liquor store, a bakery, etc.). Lake Placid, which has big stores, is a 25-minute drive.Owners: Laura and Ray are fantastic. They are super responsive and friendly. We will definitely return to Giant’s View."

The chalet was warm, welcoming, and truly felt like a home away from home.The location provided a wonderful home base for everything we wanted to experience, including fishing, Whiteface Mountain, High Falls Gorge, and exploring the surrounding area. After each day’s adventures, we loved returning to the comfort and peacefulness of the chalet.We are incredibly grateful to our host for sharing such a special place with us. Our time there meant so much to our family, and we would happily stay again."
