South Shore Kid friendly Vacations

Our room was excellent. When selecting a room I saw no guidance that the room was a second story walk-up, which was a challenge for senior citizens with some mobility difficulties. Would have preferred ground level.

It was our first time to the Island. We were intrigued by the price. Significantly less than other resorts. It’s centrally located allowing easy access to the north or south parts of the island. The front desk staff were amazing and very helpful. What we didn’t know was it’s on the rainy side of the island and it’s an older resort, however well maintained. Pools were excellent. Food and drinks at the pool were excellent. They only allow one pool towel per person. That’s stupid. You get what you pay for. If money is a factor, this is an excellent option.

We enjoyed our stay and had a great time. This property is in the perfect location, close to shopping, places to eat and right on the beach. The view and the pool area are amazing, it’s absolutely worth it to upgrade to an ocean view room. We were in room D306, a 2 bedroom suite, and this room needs a good cleaning. Stains on the carpet, kitchen and bathrooms were not cleaned very well, and the bedding did not look clean.

Choose other resorts. The amenities for this resort are not worth the money. There is only one restaurant and its not open all the time. The beach is 1/2 mile walk. The beach is not just for this property but for many others. Staff is very friendly, but not much they can do about the issues.

Just like grandma’s house a little old and not been renovated since last century but has everything you need and is close to all the basic resources. Spacious two bedroom 1.5 bath two floor corner condo with three balconies and easy access parking within walking distance to restaurants and nicely equipped local beach. Not a five star hotel but comfortable space for our family of three who generally know our way around and mostly just want to be beach bums. Be prepared that housekeeping is only once per week but there is washer and dryer in the unit with fully stocked kitchen and supplies to clean up yourself. Be clear about your reservation arrival and departure times and book additional nights if you need late check out since most flights on this island are at odd hours. Love the island and this resort met all our needs and has been for more than two decades so we will definitely do Banyan Harbor again next time. Mahalo!

Furniture was a little dusty. Kitchen has no utensils. Fridge was nice. TV was nice. Bed very comfy. AC works well. Parking plenty. Water station clutch
