The grounds of the property extends to face the water and at sunset, you can walk out and witness the magnificence. You can walk to Poipu beach from there and then your relaxation begins.
It is also within walking/ short drive distance to Poipu restaurants, mall and all that Poipu has to offer!
The decor and facility may be a bit dated but it is very well maintained and cleaned. The folks who work there are friendly and courteous.

"We had an amazing time at the pool with our 4 year old twin boys. There were so many unique places for them to play and splash around. The views from the 3 bedroom villa were amazing and it was really easy to get around the island from this location. Highly recommend Kōloa landing if you are staying in Kauai. "
"This place is perfect. Right on the beach, lots of amenities, beautiful sunsets on the lawn…stargazing at night and many more memorable perks. The bed was comfy, pillows were perfect, water pressure strong, and a beautiful pool area. I highly recommend this tropical paradise. ((The burritos from Da Crack were great, as was the Thai Food from the food trucks nearby))"

"We have stayed at Brennecke's Beach Cottage many times before and have always enjoyed our stay. The cottage has always been clean at our time of arrival. However, this time we were surprised by the many fun additions that have been made, such as a new, safer staircase with handrails leading to the front door, indoor fans in each room, and a new walk-in shower in the primary bathroom. The cottage is literally located across the street from the ocean. From the front deck, we enjoyed many meals and sometimes watched the turtles swimming in the sea. The cottage has a nice jacuzzi and BBQ. If you really want to feel the essence of Kauai, this is where you want to stay! "
