Heimaey Ski Vacations

Our stay at Arnarhvoll was fantastic. Although we were invited to have breakfast and use the spa and rooftop bar facilities, we didn’t use them, so cannot comment. We were always out exploring Reykjavík but thankful to come back to a fab room with a big comfy bed, clean bathroom and the most amazing views of the Harbour, Harpa concert hall and across the bay to the awesome Esja mountains.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in. We has the family suite - really well equipped, beautifully furnished, great space and a lovely breakfast basket each day placed in the fridge and fresh bread each morning. We could sit and enjoy our breakfast when we wanted which was really nice. Great Nespresso machine too!

This is a really beautiful place. Very welcoming and warm staff. Complimentary coffee, teas and pastries in reception. We visited just after Christmas time and it was decorated beautifully. We stayed in a bigger room and the children used the bed settee. It was set up when we arrived. Individual duvets for everyone. Lovely towels and toiletries. Coffee machine in the room with various pods, teas and creamers. Electric hob was useful as we had an early start one day and cooked eggs. Thank you, Adrian for advising we need to put the pan on to heat things up! Hotel breakfast is delicious. Lots of choice. Cereals, breads, fresh fruit, yoghurts, bacon, eggs, pancakes the list goes on. Really enjoyed it being a small hotel, friendly fellow guests. It's close to Bus Stop #1 and #3 depending on your trip pick-up/drop-off. Right next to the lake. We fed the ducks frequently. Very close to all the shops, bars and restaurants. A truly great location. Thank you Kvosin Downtown we're so happy we chose you and you looked after us perfectly. Happy New Year to all.

Really great location and amazing staff. Rooms were clean and spacious although lacking a bit of detail (eg lights not working). Mattress and pillows were comfortable. No double quilt, strange. Breakfast was limited but good, it would good if it included vegan sausages and bacon. Spa is truly disappointing and we paid extra for it, was not worth it at all - just a warm shallow pool (aka hot tub) no bubbles, no depth, pretty pointless and a sauna room. That's it.

The location is amazing in the middle of the shopping, dining, supermarkets, bus stops etc. Room is not large but has everything one needs. Loved the kitchenette, access to coffee, towels, and kitchen needs. Room was clean, modern and includes a small dining table. We enjoyed the bar downstairs when it was open. Hope we can afford this place if we ever to Iceland!

Close to everything you would expect yet modern and offers many dining and bar options. Staff and locals very friendly and easy to talk to!

Fully equipped, well-designed kitchen was a game changer! Plenty of parking and centrally located. Highly recommend!
