Swiss Alps Ski Vacations

The location of the hotel was very crntrak and within easy walking distance of everything in town. The views from the rooms and outside terrace area are spectacular. If you love skiing, mountain biking or hiking, this location has it all.

We had the best room ever! Very spacious and the location is amazing, right on the ski hill. The spa is great and don't miss the very cozy bar with fireplace. The staff were excellent, very helpful getting us ski rentals and information. Loved this hotel, truly a wonderful place to stay!

Stop your search and book this hotel! It's seriously amazing!! We were looking to book a place with a pool that was centrally located in Zermatt and had the feel of a real Swiss hotel vs. a modernized place you could find in any ski village in the world and wow wow did we hit the jackpot! It's a few minutes walk from the train station and main Street and the character of the place is unmatched with layers of interesting historical and strange campy decor that was truly delightful. Alex Hotel is like a time capsule straight out of the 60s; it's so funky and fun! The staff was absolutely wonderful, they were extremely helpful and kind and went out of their way to make our stay special (s/o to Kika at reception)! The pool and spa are incredible after a long day of hiking (or ski); the pool bubble loungers and jacuzzi were a real highlight for us as our muscles were sore. The bed, room, and breakfast were great/as you'd expect for a 4 star hotel. We dined at the restaurant our last night and it was excellent. We actually extended our stay an extra night because we loved the hotel and location so much, not to mention the excellent service. We will definitely be staying at Alex Hotel next time we got to Zermatt, it was a real treat and I can't recommend it enough; we had so much fun!

A beautiful property in Zermatt where every detail is looked after by the staff, from your arrival at the station to your departure day! A bespoke experience indeed. A fantastic view of the Matterhorn, great breakfast options, tasty sweets in the room and a wonderful spa area - Cheers!

We got a family maisonette on the 5 floor. Wonderful views. The restaurant and bar had amazing dishes, the drinks were well made and the staff was super helpful. My kids also loved the place.
