A wonderful 'find'! Tucked away in a cobbled lane is this beautiful old, classy hotel! Wonderful ambience, lovely rooms with such a comfortable bed and lovely bathroom (including in ours, an old fashioned deep bath!), and great service. Add to that the generous and lovely breakfast delivered to your room, and the Establishment Hotel bar downstairs - large, buzzy, yet no noise from it up to the room, access on to lower George St with the light rail right outside the door, and you have the perfect place to stay. We will stay again!

Our check-in experience was superb with great customer service and a warm welcome for a special occasion. The room was spacious and clean with a great view of the mountains. Parking was easy (and included, with easy access to any floor from the parking garage. Breakfast was superb with a variety of options, but we were particularly impressed with the croissants! The Pullman team at Penrith Panthers are world-class and made our experience pure pleasure from start to finish. Go Panthers!

Room had very high ceilings, however the bathroom is just glass (zero privacy if that’s a concern) and lacks any kind of vent. Poor noise insulation from upstairs, with fairly loud running water noise.

The Hotel was conveniently located for the things we wanted to do. The check in was easy and the rooms were clean. We had breakfast at the cafe and the food was nice. We were also pleased that there was parking on site. Overall we had a great experience.

Hotel is very nice and the staff is amazing. The hotel is located downtown in the CBD so parking and valet can be expensive.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location, close to public transportation and easy to walk from. Yummy coffee in lobby.

Positives: *Contactless property; the owner Mark was very nice & respectfully answered my questions via text regarding parking. *Check-in process very well-organised w/ clear instructions for key access/code etc. *Electric block-out blind helped w/ privacy, noise & light in the mornings. *Bathroom sink & vanity: Somewhat clean w/ good bench space. Negatives: *Really unfortunate to report the negative aspects of this property as Mark was so polite & helpful (as per above). *Generally, a very uncomfortable stay. *Guest house hasn’t been well-maintained; old house needs attending to. *When it rained, the front porch almost flooded w/ rain coming down the gutters. *Needs to be routinely fumigated & then surface-sprayed frequently. Had to deal w/ two cockroaches during my 2-day stay! *Only two parking spots on the property & street parking not timed ONLY during the weekend. *Smell upon arrival & during my stay was a mix of mould, air freshener & chlorine. *Room was nothing like the photo on Expedia. It hadn’t been cleaned / vacuumed at all well so I had to place my luggage on the bed & slept on one side of the mattress. *Mattress was old & so soft, felt like quick sand; it was really difficult to actually get out of it, nearly strained my wrist extensor / flexor muscles! During sleep,felt like I was sinking! *Furniture very old, second hand & dirty & not at all functional or computer-user friendly. *The fridge appeared clean on the outside but was mouldy on the inside.

Excellent place for us to use as a base for vivisting Sydney for a short holiday. 5-10min walk from Redfern railway station meaning it was easy to move around the city.
