Miyajima Pet-friendly Vacations

Spectacular location, incredible ocean views, and amazing amenities. We loved our Tatami room with twin beds—traditional yet super comfortable. The staff provided outstanding service throughout our stay. The breakfast and dinner were sensational! A fantastic choice if you love Japanese cuisine and want to immerse yourself in local culture. 100% recommend!

Good location. Close to Hiroshima station. Staff were helpful but not so friendly. Room was just enough size to sleep over but shower room(unit bath) was absolutely tiny, I was worried I would drop amenities into the toilet. Make sure lid is closed. The restaurant was a bit too small for the hotel size. We had to wait both days for breakfast. The food was adequate.I enjoyed eating momiji manjyu. There is a Konbini nearby as well as a coin laundry a 10 minute walk away. The war memorial is a short walk and tram ride from the hotel. The check-in system which is designed for convienience still required the staff to help, therefore was bit pointless. However, check-out was nice and easy. Reception staff spoke native Japanese and conversational level English.

The bathroom was extremely outdated Location was great

This was by far the nicest room/resort we have stayed in. After being cramped in many Japanese hotels and ryokans, this was much much larger with three queen/full size beds, a 65" TV and an outdoor bath (mineral salts available in the lobby). However, please understand that as this location is very remote, dining options in the area and transportation may be limited. This may be why we didn't see any foreigners there? However, they do provide pick-up service to and from the Shin-Iwakuni station depending on the room you're staying in given you contact them at least three days in advance. Although our Shinkansen was unexpectedly delayed by two hours due to rain/lightning, they patiently waited for our arrival and did not leave us stranded. Perhaps the only downside was that we only stayed two nights as I felt we could've done with some more downtime and taking advantage of the amenities including the bikes and SUPs. I hope to return again soon, staying for a longer time next time. Thank you Marissa Resort for giving us an incredible and memorable vacation!

Very impressive hotel

It was the best part of my stay. The pictures do not really di it justice. The area is peaceful and serene. Would definitely come back for a longer stay.
