Very nice large room with everything you need including coffee maker and ice machine in lobby, airport shuttle (free over/$6 back). Safe nice neighborhood for evening walks and terrific market 10 minute walk away. Bikes available if you like. Very easy to get to city center and 3 day shuttle pass is 1/2 price.

We were torn between the Edinburgh Grand and this location. If your wish is to step out your door and be in the middle of everything old town has to offer I would stay here. Keep in mind it is not a 5 star hotel, it is an apartment which does not have the staff or amenities of a 5 star. We had a higher grade room which was in their back separate building with no lobby. Space was large and clean. Getting back to main lobby was difficult. Felt mislead that this was called a 5 star hotel. However, the location was great.
If I could do over I would stay at Edinburgh Grand. It is in New Town part of Edinburgh, which is a quick walk to old town. New town has awesome restaurants and shopping, we had all our dinners there. I walked by the Grand- felt more high end , grand lobby and attentive staff.
