Room wasn't spotless but my brief stay was good again

My first visit to Istanbul and it was quite an eye opener. There are hundreds of tiny hotel/ pension-type places in the tiny back roads of this very busy city. I was lucky in choosing the Amada Hotel as it was a quaint but deceptively big property. My room was adequate with lovely polished floors and traditional style wall coverings. From the window I could look over one of the old city walls to the harbouer beyond. Breakfast was included in the price - buffet style on a lovely roof-topp terrace with a view of the ocean on one side and the amazing blue mosque on the other. Property is walking distance from a light rail station. I found the metro fairly easy to use and probably the best way to and from the airport.

Beautiful hotel right on the waterfront. Staff was very helpful in finding us a restaurant on the Asian side of the city. The room was excellent with 2 distinct sides. Like a suite. Mother in law on other side.

Brilliant location with so many shops and restaurants a few steps away. Good service. Clean room and nice bathroom.

We had a clean comfortable room on the top floor with a large balcony. The restaurant is open late with a full dinner menu which makes it convenient for late arrivals. Breakfast is included in the room rate. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Transportation to and from the airport can be arranged at an extra cost. The cruise ship terminal is right across the street
