"This was our first time at a ryokan. The staff and facilities ensure a tranquil and relaxing visit. When one first checks in the guest is treating like royalty with beautiful robe (I cannot remember the correct robe), tea, and an explanation of the facilities. The room was an apartment. "Great room, very nice staff. The only thing I'd say is that there's not much room to sit around. Reception is incredibly tight with luggage and traffic. And there is no lounge. All space was used up for rooms."
