"Best breakfast ever. Nice combination of city hotel and hot spring resort. I’d love to stay again if I get an another opportunity to visit Hakodate. "
"Wonderful stay - so comfortable and welcoming and in a great location (we came by train). Would definitely return as we loved the city as much as the hotel. "
"Biggest hotel room I've had in Japan so far, with 20' ceilings. Concrete floor probably didn't help with the sea lion rookery snoring next door to me. Not much the hotel can do about that. The A/C fan is too quiet to help drown out such noise. Bring music in case you run into the same thing."
"It is a small cozy place for a short stay. Staff are friendly and able to speak english. Check in was very easy. Location is easy to find and great as it is walkable to the train station.
I like the breakfast spread. "

"Incredibly easy access to train stop location. Rooms have a washer dryer combo which was a life saver that allowed us to pack light. Would stay again."
"If you're visiting Hakodate, then odds are you have stayed at some APA hotel at some point in your life. You stay at APA because it's affordable and well kept up, which holds true here as well.
I've stayed in a handful of APA locations, and this location has the best customer service I've experienced at any APA.
As for the building, it's probably older, but you wouldn't know because both the room and hallway are in great condition. They clearly have renovated or replaced over the years."
