"Amazing staff and service everyone was so nice. Amazing hospitality. We loved everyone and everything about this place. The rooms are very nice and super clean and big apartments. The town is amazing with great food options and things to try. But honestly what made this place shine was the people. Hot springs are very nice especially out door one sitting while you see the river in front of you. For sure will book again for this experience if I am in Japan next time."

"BOOK THIS HOTEL! Loved our stay and totally worth the 2.5 hour train ride from Osaka. Was able to check in promptly at 3 p.m. and our bags were whisked away to our room. We immediately received our onsen pass and were able to get in a bath before our kaiseki dinner. The next morning we were able to explore more of the public baths and had an amazing breakfast. "This was the highlight of our trip to Japan! The hotel is stunning. The manager went above & beyond on multiple occasions, personally escorting us to restaurants around the town and even helping us book bus tickets to get back to Tokyo! The rooms are spacious, clean & beautiful. They had great amenities including a Dyson hairdryer & free laundry which was a lifesaver for us! The breakfast was delicious as well. We loved it here and can't wait to come back!"

"かなり久々の温泉旅館、うるさい3歳児がいたにも関わらず、大変快適に過ごすことができました！当初Hotels.comで予約した際詳細を見落としていて、うっかり「トイレ無し」のお部屋を予約していたのですが、旅館側でお気遣い頂き、トイレ付きの広めのお部屋に変えていてくださいました。連泊だったのと、おむつの幼児がいたのでこれには本当に助かりました。お部屋も広くて快適、レトロな雰囲気も大変寛げました。息子ははじめてのお布団に興奮していました(いつもベッド)。お料理も美味しく、また仲居さんなどスタッフの皆様のお心遣いが秀逸で、心ゆくまで「日本の旅館」を堪能できました。 立地も、各種外湯へも行きやすく、コンビニも近くてとても便利でした。泊まった本館の階段が急で、慣れないうちは幼児を抱っこしての登り下りはちょっと怖かったですが、それはそれでレトロ感を楽しめて良かったです笑。貸切風呂も内湯も最高でした…✨またぜひお伺いしたいです。"

"It should be a crime what they charge for these rooms. We got a no meal plan and it was still over ¥20,000 a night. The walls and paper windows were all stained. Furniture was sticky. The mini fridge, a/c, and bathroom were ancient and kept rattling and humming the entire night. There is no sink and mirror in the bathroom so you have to use the bar in front of the big window. The onsen at this place was also old and outdated. I understand the selling point of this place is that it's ancient, but...
