Hotel under renovation

The hotel has been recently rebranded and is undergoing extensive renovations. The bits they've finished, like the rooms and the dining room, are new and shiny. The room itself was comfortable. It's close to the town, which has good izakaya and other options if you're not on a meal plan. There is also a Lawson close-by. On weekdays especially the hotel is an active construction site inside and out. It probably isn't what the workers want, to have to share a construction site with guests. It also felt a bit odd as a guest e.g. the workers congregate/socialise/smoke in a space inside the hotel entrance. I realise they are trying hard to improve the hotel, and the hotel staff were courteous and helpful at all times. The state of construction is reflected in the price, which is cheaper than nearby options. I read about the construction in advance from Japanese language reviews on other sites, so it wasn't a complete surprise.

コンテナハウスの予約であった事がチェックイン時に初めてわかった。 エクスペディアのプランにわかりやすく明記しておいて欲しかった。 夕飯はレストラン利用できると思っていたが、予約のみだと聞いて事前に知るべき情報にアクセスそびれた事と、現地の案内を受けらなかった事が残念だ。

目につくところは、改装されているようです。トイレまわりや押し入れなど、手が回ってないようでした。また、全体的にジメジメして、快適ではありませんでした。私の部屋は、カビ臭のようなにおいがしました。

親娘ふたり旅で。

天の橋立と城崎マリンワールドのほほ中間点にある事と、 古い建物を見ることが無い事、温泉がある事、の理由でこのお宿にしました。 海にしずむ夕陽を見た事無くて チェックイン前でしたが すぐ近くの夕日ヶ浦温泉海岸？へ寄ってみました。 初めて見る光景に感動し長く見惚れていました。 うっかり連絡を忘れてしまいチェックインが遅れてしまいましたが快く迎えてくださりありがとうございました。 お宿は本当に大切にされているのが実感出来ました。コンクリートの様な石なのか大きな玄関や古い木の建具やステンドグラス？大きな屏風など初めて見るものが多く残されていて子供も私も写真を撮ったり楽しく過ごさせていただきました。 お部屋にはボディソープ、シャンプーリンス化粧水乳液 お茶 お茶菓子タオルが用意されていました。 大浴場の洗面台には顔用のソープも風量の強そうなドライヤーもありました。 日本人が大好きな体を洗うボディタオルやウォッシュボールなどはないので持参ですね。 2点だけ、困った事が。 手を洗うハンドソープや固形石鹸が無いので戸惑いました。 現代ですと多くの方が手洗いは頻繁にされている思いますがハンドソープがないお宿ははじめてでした あと205だったか備付のドライヤーが温風になったり途中で冷風になったり非常に使いにくかったので この2点だけは改善されると皆さんに喜ばれるのでは？と思いました。 カニが有名らしいのでまたシーズンに訪れたいと思いました。 道中の信号が縦型でしたので雪国なのかも知れません。 私は雪道の運転をした事がないので 冬はすぐ近くに駅もありましたし、とてもカッコいい濃紺色の電車が走っていたので電車旅もいいかな、と思いました。

five star service. incredible value in restaurant. staff the best ever encountered in thirty countries around the world. owner needs to invest in updating interior finishes and in more maintenance staff. deep cleaning needed in all rooms especially top-down dusting from high spots. owner needs to invest in new mechanical systems (air conditioning, in-ceiling heating units). owner needs to invest in updating built-in bathroom plastic vanities.
