Staff were friendly and attentive.
Breakfast was excellent, and if you are heading out for walks, they can provide a packed lunch if you order the day before.
There must have been at least 5 extremely wellbeahaved dogs at the hotel that were owned by guests, its a super dog friendly place. There are towels to dry off the dogs and also a sink outside undercover with warm water tap to clean the dogs if needed.」
「The Solway Lodge was a welcoming place to stay. Lovely staff, nice food and a very welcome drink after travelling down from Fife. We stopped off on our way back home. The room was huge, recently renovated, comfortable. We were able to move our car right outside our room which was fab. Thank you. We will be returning.」

「We had a “new” room that was beautiful with a stunning bathroom. One thing could be better…a full-length mirror for the ladies. Breakfast was top class and dinner was also superb though our server was a bit random and forgot a second glass of wine. But the manager recovered very well by delivering at no cost! Location is good especially for a stop-over close to the M6.」
「It's right in front of the bus stop, easy to access from Penrith station. Very clean and cosy room, friendly and kind staff. I had a dinner at the restaurant, very good. Needless to say, the English full breakfast was fantastic. 」
