Hotel was a bit dated however the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the location was quiet so got a good night's sleep. We did not eat breakfast, and dinner was not available so ate in the pub across the road then came back to the hotel and enjoyed their small bar. The hotel is handy for the motorway.

Very old property with no renewal in sight. My small tv in room didn’t have a remote control so had to rely on my iPad, had a portable electric heater in room with no certification label attached, everything looked worn out. Breakfast is basic. Only book as a last resort. The manual wooden key holder could barely fit in my pocket.

Staff were very helpful, hotel was very dated but they were working on updating it. Our room was lovely, fresh white bedding and towels, and tea/coffee. Breakfast was offered however we only wanted toast, all in all worth the money we paid

Had a lovely break at Pinegrove, we had a recently refurbished room, mucky footprints on the bathroom floor but the rest of the room was clean, a bedside table for both sides of the bed would have been nice and/or a table to use the kettle on, we had to rest it on a chair, hotel is a little outdated & could do with a lick of paint, but that said we would stay there again. Breakfast was very good

The worse hotel I’ve ever stayed at mould on bathroom titles the whole place looks like it for the homeless I checked back out after about 30 mins and found another place to stay WHAT A DUMP, I can’t believe hotels.com even lists it

I would come back in a heartbeat. The staff were really great. I felt like they had my back—like they really wanted us to have a great time. I slept well, the breakfast was good, and I really like a vintage vibe and this boutique hotel gives that. It was a great stay. Not too far to walk to Aldi, the owners were personable and very helpful.

comfy bed, headboard falling off, hotel needs repainting as it is looking tired. clean room but noisy (can hear every movement in the room next to us). not the best breakfast, sausages particularly poor. ok if you just want a cheap room for an overnight stay.

Honestly one of if not THE worst hotels I have stayed in. Decor: Fresh in the 70's and I don't think it's been touched since. Threadbare carpets, wood chip wallpaper and greeted from behind a glass screen. Lights didn't work in the room, the bathroom didn't looks clean, pipework all on display, grimly looking walls. A filthy looking couch in the room and a TV that was maybe from the 90's on the wall. Beds: The memory foam mattress has forgotten... it kept sinking until we got to the divan. Both of us struggled to walk in the morning it was honestly that bad. Hardly any sleep to be had on such a terrible bed. Walls: 4am someone was knocking to get into the hotel. Followed by an argument we assume with a guest and a member of staff. Which continued for at least 30-40 minutes. The breakfast, For £8 for 4, I actually think it was over priced. The dining room looked and felt horrible. It was a struggle to try and eat the food thinking about the state of the place. We gave up and left. The best part: It was half way from Glasgow to Manchester. I would not recommend the hotel nor would I ever stay there again. I know this is a harsh review, I hardly ever write reviews but I think I will start when somewhere is good and lives up to expectations just to highlight how bad some places can be. It was cheap but not cheerful and I regret giving my money to the owner of this place.
