"The room had a horrible moldy smell. The floor creaked when I walked and I could hear the people above us walking back and forth until two in the morning. Breakfast was already low on a lot of the items at 8 AM and the juice tasted like water. I regret choosing this hotel for such a special occasion."

"The hosts are very attentive. We stayed in the larger house for a couple of weeks first then moved to this cabin for a month and we just loved it here. It’s so peaceful and the property is well maintained. Well stocked with fresh towels, comfy beds, linens, a coffee maker and all the cooking items you could need. Just 10 minutes to anything you need without all the noise! Views of the pond and the cows on the other side made daily visits. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet country place to unwind after your day in New Braunfels or Seguin, this is a winner. "

"Great little cabin! Bring your camp stove or hob, or charcoal,if you want to cook! I cooked with my cast iron and my old white gas Coleman stove! The kitchenette has a fridge freezer, and microwave. I hope you will have ice trays, my wife accidentally packed them in our cooler. I informed Tom, and offered to pay for them. He was gracious, and declined. His business part and he are both attentive, friendly, and the grounds are rugged and lovely! The pool is awesome, the hot tub is HOT! The river is super accessible. We are looking forward to coming back here with more folks and the kids. There are several houses, everything is, as my wife said, “super cute!” I am on my phone, but hope to write out a better review for this property that is more descriptive. Come give this place a spin! I highly recommend it. In the words of The Terminator, “I’ll be back.”"

"Fantastic hosts - Joy and Sherman are two of the nicest and most accommodating on the planet. I loved everything about this place and so especially did my two Dalmatians, who were enchanted by the cows.If you are looking for a beautiful setting in a rural area that is quiet and serene, and love the idea of waking up to a beautiful sunrise, sitting outside on the porch with your coffee and watching your dogs play in the yard, this place is the one to pick in the San Antonio area!Thank you Joy and Sherman!"

"The house was clean. The docks were in terrible shape. There was spiderwebs and cobwebs everywhere that had been there for quite some time. we were pestered by spiders and wasps. There were mud Dobbers under the tables and the chairs because the nests haven’t been dealt with. You wouldn’t take anything to sweep that off and spray occasionally. The bathroom was leaking water from the toilet tank the whole time I sent messages with no response so we had to deal with water in the floor the whole time in the bathroom"

"The refrigerator was dirty and wasn’t cooling and the shower had the previous guest dirty personal care products (razors and bar soap). I notified the operator/owner and was told just throw them away. The refrigerator issue was never addressed or resolved. "

"Has a wonderful time at this unique getaway. Host was great and very proactive. It is rustic, but overall very comfortable with a kitchenette and small balcony porch. Pro is that it is close to the river, downtown and historic Gruene district. Con is that it is also close to what appears to be an industrial machinery/boat dumping site. Pro is that it is unique and cozy with great indoor climate control. Con is that the upstairs bed sleeps more like a futon than a "real" mattress. That said, we would definitely stay here again - hopefully when it is warm enough to get in the pool that looks lovely!"

"We had a great time with all the family over Thanksgiving. Kids loved playing in the yard and fishing. Plenty of room for all 20 of us. "
