We came here for a two day getaway for our anniversary and it was perfect. This truly is a hidden gem. The rooms were so cute and clean and beds were comfortable. The staff was SO nice and accommodating. We will definitely back.

Such a cute, quaint place to stay. We were very close to Gruene Hall & surely enjoyed the wine tasting. Staff was friendly & very helpful. Our beds were so comfortable we stayed in a little longer than we usually do. We will definitely tell our friends about this lovely place.

Loved our stay at Petit Cowboy. The room was awesome, super clean, really cute, and you can tell a lot of thought went into the design. The whole property has a great vibe. The pool is huge and having a shallow area for the kids made it even better. Being right along the river just makes it feel kind of magical. We’ll definitely be back.

Stayed here with a few friends and had an awesome time! There’s so much to do on the property between the two pools, pickleball court, and easy access to the river, we basically didn't leave for 2 days. It’s also super close to New Braunfels, which was convenient. The room renovations were really well done and thoughtful, and overall it felt like great value for what you get. Will definitely come back with a group.

Booked last minute while driving through New Braunfels and absolutely loved my stay at Petit Cowboy! The property was recently renovated and sits right along the river, really cute setup. My cabin was clean, spacious, and really well-designed. The staff was super friendly, and the self check-in made everything easy. They’ve also got two large pools and a pickleball court, which was a great bonus. Definitely planning to come back :)

Our Anniversary trip was perfect thanks to the friendly staff!! Everyone from checking in, to the twin brothers serving drinks by the pool, bartender, cleaning staff. Even the man cleaning the pool that took time to show the kids a frog that he got out from the filter. Dustin (manager) took time out to explain the history of the “Petite Cowboy” and made sure we had everything we needed. 5 out of 5 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed at Petit Cowboy this past weekend and had a great experience. The rooms had a fun retro-chic vibe with thoughtful design details that made the space feel unique and inviting. Everything was spotless when we arrived, and the little touches, from the fresh towels and toiletries to the appliances and pre-filled ice tray, made us feel right at home. The pool and bar area were beautiful and relaxing, making it easy to unwind. The check-in area also has a fun, cozy atmosphere with a pool table and photo booth, which was a nice touch. We especially enjoyed the outdoor patio overlooking the river. Check-in and check-out were both smooth and hassle-free. We arrived before check-in time, and the staff was kind enough to let us park on the property while we took an Uber to float the river. That extra hospitality was greatly appreciated. Overall, Petit Cowboy exceeded our expectations, and we’ll definitely be back.

We had a great stay at Petit Cowboy! It's tucked away in a semi-secluded-feeling residential area within very close driving distance to the town center (but not right in the middle all the action in town, if that matters to you). The property consist of many A-frame cabins (2 units per cabin - one upstairs and one downstairs) situated right on the Comal River where it appears to begin. There's fishing allowed, but it's not really a spot on the river where you want to get in and swim. There's a good sized pool, which seemed very popular during the day, with a clubhouse/small bar (which doubles as the check in desk) that serves food and drinks all day/night. We were in an upstairs unit and the room was clean, modernized and comfortable. It had a quiet mini-split AC that kept the unit nice and cool even in 100+ degree weather. We had a little kitchenette with fridge and K-cups for coffee. The beds were very comfortable and the room was cozy with a window looking over the river down below. We liked that the pool & bar stays open at night, and the few people enjoying the pool at night were quiet and respectful. We didn't eat there, but they appeared to have a pretty good little menu for an onsite cafe. The only other feedback I'd give them is that the floor of the upstairs balcony (outside our door) was made of particle wood and it was clearly rotting away in one spot & needs replacing. It seemed like it could be a mild safety hazard if you were walking out the door barefoot.

Had a fantastic stay here. The room was adorable, stayed ice cold, and was spotless from corner to corner. The beds were super comfortable, and it had everything we actually needed—plenty of towels, all the kitchen utensils and dishes were provided, a nice single Keurig for coffee, and a Roku TV plus a small comfortable sofa. One of the best things was that it didn't feel like they were trying to nickel-and-dime you at every turn, which made it a lot easier to just relax and enjoy the trip. Kayla was amazing and took great care of us. The property has direct river access with a great spot for catch-and-release fishing, plus cornhole and a fun photo booth. They also had a couple of arcade games and a pool table in the lobby area. Check in and check out was fantastic in and out. Less than 3 minutes. The pool area, food, and drinks were all solid. There's an HEB that's that's 10 minutes away. There's a Shell station that's right around the corner. Less than 5 minutes away maybe. Even with neighbors downstairs and to the side, it was quiet, there was plenty of parking, and seeing all the deer around was a nice bonus. Definitely worth five stars.

Very cute cottage property that is on the Comal River, a very short distance from all the hustle and bustle. Staff was very friendly and helpful each interaction. The “room” we had was overall very clean, just needed to be vacuumed and mopped a little better. I’m gonna give grace on the warmth of the room as the Texas heat is brutal this time of year and air conditioners everywhere are struggling to keep up, it wasn’t unbearable by any means but we really could of used a small fan for sure. We loved the huge pool and that they provided pool floats/towels. The pool area had plenty of seating and umbrella’s too. There is access to the Comal and there were a few people in it but I got in and got right out, because the water isn’t flowing in that area and it seemed a little stagnant. Wasn’t a risk I was willing to take. They gave us the best recommendation for a river outfitter/transportation, PaddleTX. Stacey came to the cottages, picked us up and returned us when we were done with our float. He was impressionable and super helpful. Overall I give our experience as a whole an 8 out of 10. Most definitely will be back!

I had an amazing stay. The pictures are exactly as advertised. Perfect for the summer vacation because you’re basically in the heart of town, Schlitterbahn is under 10min and other shopping needs are 15min along with restaurants. The staff is very friendly and the property is right on Comal river so you’re able to float and fish. The only negative I could think of is the bathroom was a bit small, other than that I had an amazing experience.
