We routinely stay in historic inns/b and b's so we are aware of conditions unique to such settings. In this case, the inn had an unmaintained, dirty feel. Staff was less rhan helpful, in fact one night there was no one on premises after 5 pm. 1st room, tv did not come on, found someone who worked in kitchen who also was staying at inn. He called manager and we changed rooms. Rooms - tired and worn, dusty, no glasses, tissues, no ice available, coffee maker but no coffee, king sheets in queen bed, 3 bar stools in room, dirty mirror. Breakfast continental - no spoon for cereal or yogurt, no water, "pastry" was sliced bread. Poor accomodations for the $$
Apparently the restaurant does well and is well regarded. Overnight accomodations terrible.
