Was able to receive my upgrade to the loft room for my vacation this past weekend. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from end to end, the room was extremely spacious, bed very comfortable, and bathroom equipped with everything you could need. Would definitely visit again.
We loved this hotel. The room was a bit cramped, but since we barely in it, it wasn’t an issue. The shower didn’t drain well, and the water pressure was REALLY strong. When I showered, there was a bit of a pool in the shower. Other than that, we didn’t have any problems.
The staff were extremely helpful and kind with whatever we needed.
The hotel was conveniently located near MSG and Macy’s. Would stay here again!
It’s a very central location and that’s what you pay for. The staff were excellent. The building is quite old and the rooms have a lot of wear and tear, i was given a room in the attic and it was quite bad. I was there for a night and the sheets were washed but still had a weird smell.
Love the Ace. A great vibe and awesome location. This time staying, we had an amazing view of the Empire Stare Build8ng. I highly recommend staying at the Ace.
Hôtel très bien placé
Centres d'intérêt et commerces à proximité
Chambre fonctionnelle, propre cependant un peu bruyante côté Broadway
Personnel agréable et à l'écoute
Je recommande et y retournerai
We arrived at the Ace expecting New York cool and got something closer to a condemned building with a marketing department.
Our first room faced the street, with a window that wouldn’t close. Apparently, fresh air and loud noise is complimentary, whether you want it or not. When we complained, we were told there were no other rooms available, except for one in a lower category. We had to take it. The bathroom shower leaked straight through the floor into the bedroom, leaving a lovely wet patch on the carpet.
The staff’s response? A masterclass in treating a guest’s problem as though it were a personal character flaw. No urgency, no meaningful assistance, just the general impression that we were being terribly unreasonable by expecting a hotel room to have functioning windows and plumbing.
In short, a dump masquerading as a lifestyle hotel. Save your money, your patience, and your dry socks. This place isn’t worth the price, the hassle, or the name on the door.
Easily the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Terrible from start to finish. Paid extra for ‘Deluxe’ room. It was awful, dark, dirty, uncomfortable bed, nowhere to sit, bathroom design ridiculous, pipes exploded each time we opened taps, mouldy tiles, dirty shower curtain. Our friends had a Standard’ room which was much worse, they couldn’t stand in the shower without the shower curtain sticking to them. TV wouldn’t switch off and channel choice pitiful. Stayed in much better youth hostels. Rude waiter wouldn’t allow us to sit in the settees downstairs for a few moments, because we were getting in the way of breakfast customers coming from outside the hotel!
The room was large and roomy. The beds were very comfy. But the sockets were very impractical making using the kettle without spilling water challenging. The decor was very dark. The room was very noisy. Food and drink was expensive.
Justin Vernon recommended it, and it did not disappoint! Perfect location, amazing escape from the noise to rest in a classy comfy environment and I WILL be back again!
I do not recommend staying at the Ace for two primary reasons, noise and cleanliness.
We stayed on the third floor and the noise from the street below — a mix of horns, sirens, and yelling — was nearly constant and very intrusive. I’ve stayed in NYC dozens of times, so I don’t think I’m particularly sensitive.
Cleanliness was the other issue. The entire hotel smells musty, and walking into our room smelled like walking into a cave. My wife noticed that the radiator has a slow leak, so there was a constant wet spot in that corner of the room, which can’t be good for health either.
On the plus side, the NoMad location is great, the rooms are enormous by NYC standards, and the staff was fun and helpful.
The location was great for walking around and exploring. Felt safe. The pillows suck needed two to sleep on and the night time noise was loud even with the window shut.

The bar was fun with a good assortment of food and drinks. Breakfast was mediocre and poor service. Fire alarm went off at 4:30 am for 20 minutes explanation over loud speaker was illegible. Would not recommend this hotel.

Good location and very friendly staff. The bed was pretty comfortable but the hotel over all was a little tired and in need of a refresh.
