"Lovely old building, excellent food, well stocked bar, superb helpful and friendly staff, comfortable room. Only downside for us with slightly limited mobility was the stairs need a second handrail and although not the fault of the hotel, it's on a busy junction and road noise is intrusive from quite early in the morning."

"Absolutely wonderful and spotless. As for the bed! Couldn't wait to get in it. Proper down duvet and pillows.Top quality bed linen. Everything you could possibly need. Milk in the fridge and a great bottle of prosecco. Great toiletries too and nice soft towels. Proper lined curtains so not awoken by the sun peeping through. TV with Netflix. Great. We used the firepit. Smashing. . Didn't use the hot tub. Loved the solar lights. I left something valuable in the hut.I got a phone call on our way home. The girls posted the items by recorded delivery. I am very grateful for that. Great views over the marshes to the ocean beyond. A wonderful peaceful stay. Thank you so much."

"It is clearly a work in progress when we stayed. Would be better to dispense with baths and have walk in showers in apartment block. Whilst polite the bar staff were not that well informed. Eg when I asked for directions to our room they were not sure. And I was charged Shen I had already prepaid for the booking. But it was sorted. Perhaps wipe the dust off your blinds. Otherwise ok. Food was good and tasty. Good breakfast. If it continues to sort a few things out then clearly will be a winner as there are many good aspects to it."

"Well located for surrounding area. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and cosy. We only stayed one night but our evening meal was excellent and breakfast was great too. We couldn’t fault it and just wished we could have stayed longer."

"We found the room was reasonably comfortable, but it was unfortunate that where we were staying the bedroom window was permanently frosted so we didn’t have a view out. There was a restaurant on site which we used on one evening, however, we found it to be somewhat overpriced. We also felt it seemed to be going through an identity crisis as it gave the appearance of a high end eating place and yet it was full of noisy dogs, babies, and toddlers. This made it difficult to enjoy a nice relaxed meal. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options available. The only parking available is on the road outside which resulted in a fairly long walk from the car with a suitcase."

"Lovely!! Perfect location on route to coast. Stayed in the main house, super huge cosy twin room with everything we needed, really clean and beds comfy. Staff were super helpful from the moment we checked in, the pub next door was cute and welcoming bar staff and friendly guests all chatting. Managed to get a swim & steam in before checking out, loved it! It’s not a modern hotel but clean and felt like a treat to stay. The tea & biscuits in the room was a nice touch. Would recommend 🙂"
