It was a good price, so perhaps we should not have been surprised to find that it was in need of maintenance. There was some dodgy-looking electrics, no basic handsoap, no towel rings for hanging a hand towel near a sink, damaged walls etc. Overall, it made it feel cheap, and.... edgy. "Great central location but couple of issues - lights in bathroom didn't work, there was a massive ridge in the middle of the floor (trip hazard) & the fridge was not working - in fact it was running very hot & there was a burning smell in the unit (plastic was warping inside fridge around light) - a clear fire risk. When informed Smartflats simply thanked us for the info & made no attempt. to remedy or compensate. Poor service as we rented the apartment to prepare our own food & were limited....

"The apartment was centrally located to our requirements. Close to three kings street, train station, restaurants and supermarkets. The apartment is on the top floor so the floor does creak however overall it suited our needs and was comfortable. Would happily stay again in the future."

"First of all, the entry key pad to the property did not work. Tried pulling the entry door, it opened. It lead to a flight of dark stairs. Climbed two floors and found that there was construction happening. Went back down and called customer service in the middle of night sitting on the high street bench. Customer service insisted there were guests. So tried to climb the dark stairs with luggage and found there was another flight of stairs hidden from view. Took that reached the apartment and...

"I am satisfied with the apartment, but not happy with a couple things: 1. There is no reception for this apartment. The owner first said the check in code would be sent to me 7 days before we arrive. I sent an email / website message to follow up 7 days ahead, no response. I sent another email / website message 2 days before, no response, i sent an email / message one day before, still no response. So ignoring me. The day i arrived, we were locked out, i tried to call them with our Canada cell...

"there were rats, there was no curtain for the toilet and the neighbours can see us, no wifi as well"

"The location is excellent, just a 5 mins walk to the central train station and shopping district. Staff are friendly and polite. However during our stay, our one bedroom apartment TV was spoilt on the 2nd day. Informed the staff and they cannot solve the problem, so left us with no entertainment at all throughout our stay for the next 4 days. "
