"I have stayed here many times and have never had a problem. Staff are always super friendly and very welcoming. You get a real welcoming ‘local pub’ feel when you go in. The bar area is really cosy and the food is fantastic-large portions and a good choice on the menu. Sunday roast is great too!! Rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything you need. An excellent place to stay so I would highly recommend. "

"I’m not sure if the place had a lake or not like on the pictures, but the nice picture we had on our booking page looked nothing like the very standard caravan we were given. My teenage sons couldn’t fit into their tiny room at the same time. We informed the girl in the pub (reception was closed at 6pm and checkin is only allowed after 5pm.) but she told us to come back tomorrow morning, which we did. We weren’t offered any alternative and were then told we couldn’t have a refund because we hadn’t come back to tell them about our dissatisfaction, which makes no sense because we came back the next morning when they were open and were told we had to email the hoseasons host whom we had booked through, which we did immediately, but then then they also proceeded to say we should have told them? "Very disappointed. Area outside entrance door was dirty and damp, inside the cottage stank of the previous occupant food. The compost bin still had old good in it and the dishes and cutlery were filthy..the plates underneath had baked on food which we had to remove with a scourer. Not impressed."
